The last several months have seen a huge pile of action, and I feel like I'm spreading myself a little thin! My work with Freechild is picking up steadily, and the effort that I've put into building and sustaining a network is beginning to pay off. Since the beginning of this year I've traveled throughout the US, to the UK and Ireland, and to Brazil, all for good action. My booklets on meaningful student involvement are done, and the promo work on them is wrapping up. I've got a couple of more projects coming in that area. I'm teaming up with a national nonprofit called Youth on Board to do some interesting work, and I'm building a relationship with another organization called Generation YES. The state education agency here has developed a program around engaging students as partners in education reform, and there has been some needed development in the school improvement process that centers on involving students.

SO the work is paying off. Its interesting, because with the people I meet and interact with, I want to get to know them more, in a more personal way. But the work keeps me flitting about, and so... I guess that's the life.
